Job Description

Qualification Standards: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0900/legal-instruments-examining-series-0963/ Supervisory Qualification Guide: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/generalschedule-qualification-standards/specialty-areas/supervisory-guide/ To qualify for the FV-J (GS/FG-14) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower level in the normal line of progression within the Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Note: Experience at the second lower grade level can be credited when there is no position in the normal line of progression that is one grade lower than the position being filled. Specialized Experience includes but is not limited to: Medical experience, which one reviews documents in case files/medical records for completeness and accuracy; using a variety of legal or regulatory references for document verification; analyzes data obtained from documents such as claim forms, application forms, contracts, medical records, or other legal/medical documents in order to make determinations; research and respond to inquiries/questions; managing a diverse workforce and/or leading others, including planning and assigning work, project management, decision making, improving and controlling performance, human relations, and employee participation; managing and providing oversight in programs. Applicants should provide examples of specialized experience in their work history. AND Selective Placement Factor (SPF): Candidates must demonstrate evidence of having skill in examining documents that denote the diagnosis and treatment of disease, injuries, and deformities and includes prescription and other over-the-counter medicines and pharmaceuticals.
