SUPERVISORY CLAIMS EXAMINER

Job Description

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate all of the following: 1) Exercising supervisory and managerial authority over several employees or team members; 2) Analyzing and evaluating investigations for factual sufficiency and applying the relevant information to regulatory guidance to facilitate adjudication of Personnel Claims Act claims; 3) Examining, negotiating, and settling claims in various situations (e.g. crisis situations); 4) Overseeing the drafting of correspondence to a variety of sources to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory rules; 5) Training others to adjudicate challenging claims pursuant to statutory and regulatory rules; 6) Identifying and analyzing problems; weighing relevance and accuracy of information; seeking/generating solutions and making timely, effective recommendations; AND 7) Managing files in computerized and hard copy records systems.
