To qualify for Pay Band 4A applicants must meet the following: Qualifying experience for Pay Band 4A includes one year of specialized experience (comparable to the Pay Band 4B or GS-12 or equivalent experience), which is directly related to the work of this position, and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position, examples of specialized experience are: providing technical advice on security administration functions involving in two (2) or more of the following areas (personal and physical security, access control and credentialing, security risk management, international security, foreign travel security, emergency preparedness and continuity support); conducting threat, vulnerability, risk, physical security, and operational security assessments; experience performing position sensitivity, applicant suitability, credentialing and access control activities; conducting threat, vulnerability, physical security, and operational security assessments; attending briefings, interagency meetings, working groups, and information exchanges as security representative and technical point of contact; and developing and presenting threat assessments, advisories, executive briefings, trip reports, or other security products addressing security concerns and conditions, domestic or international. Note: This experience must be well documented in your resume/application. Time-in-Grade: Time-in-grade requirements apply. You must have one year of Federal service equivalent to Pay Band 4B or GS-12 to be eligible for Pay Band 4A. Salary may be set from the minimum to the midpoint of the salary range of the pay band. In some instances, based on a selectee's extensive experience directly related to the position, salary may be set at or above the mid-point up to the maximum salary for that pay band.
