Job Description

NO-02: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band (NO-01) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions; planning and organizing work; and, communicating effectively orally and in writing. NO-03: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/10) or pay band (NO-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Determining the appropriate personnel security investigation based on position sensitivity by reviewing security forms, case papers, and related documentation for civilian, military, and contractor personnel; 2) Preparing and recommending adverse personnel security actions, including denial of security clearance or eligibility, removal from employment, denial of employment, and suitability recommendations for approval, warning, or removal;3) Resolving personnel security discrepancy reports and analyzing security issues utilizing demonstrated knowledge of personnel security laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; and 4) Evaluating investigative results from other agencies to ensure compliance with personnel security and suitability standards to determine when expanded investigation is needed to resolve derogatory or questionable information.
